Smokeythabear
Holly marie, congratz once again man, those girls are very beautiful, like you said without the little problem you had that big mango would have been even more wonderful But still she is doing avery legit work As all her sisters and sister in law did anyway! Thanks for the nice pics Have a good drying and smoking man Thanks again Dust, I still have 2 mango auto seeds left so I'm hoping a get another plant like her to really see the full potential!Hold on those Auto super crit that smells good. To bad you can´t clone them If you look at the flavour wheel it show that they can have a chemical pheno type. Of all my Auto crits only one had a good berry taste. Was kind of nice. They all had the same soil in the same "pot" so i guess i was unlucky when it came down to it. Your flowers do you proud and hats off! Also you are in luck to have one of those strains that do not need a lot of trimming in harvest? Thanks Tokage Ya apparently I got lucky with the 2 phenos..they are a a little berry/flower & sweet/sour kinda but I'm now also starting to get the sea salt smell that I couldn't picture in my mind when I looked at the flavor wheel before they were harvested, but now I recognize the smell from cooking..especially the pink sea salt. It always amazes me what flavors/smells come out of this amazing plant! And the other is definitely the chemical like pheno, haven't tried her yet but I'm hoping the strength makes up for the smell/flavor.As for not needing a lot of trimming, the pictures can be deceiving as I took the yellowed dying leaves off some of them 24 hrs before harvest, and in some pictures I've first taken a picture with leaves, then removed many of the bigger leaves to get a good picture of the buds without them in the way. Overall I would say they had a fair amount of trimming between them and I became more and more picky with trimming as I went along and when I look at the first plants I manicured I did they look like a can of smashed assholes compared to the last plants I trimmed SO WE FINALLY COME TO ALMOST THE END!Here is the final harvest post..finally..with the 2 Northern Lights plants which are also 2 different phenos I think. Leaf shape and structure is about the same, but I would say bud shape/size, pistil characteristics, and smell are VERY different. Keep in mind also that the little NL ( was accidentally supercropped at about 3.5 weeks old. It's interesting as she seems to possibly be the most resinous out of all 8 plants and arguably has the most character with her 3 main buds and wishbone shaped mainstem AND not to mention her strangely shaped double tipped bud that joined together to form what looks like some sort of strange anime creature!! I can't wait to try her out in a another week or two before letting her cure more The big Northern (A) might be the largest yielder of all 8 plants and she is developing a really nice look and smell in the jars as she was cut a little earlier.SMOKE REPORTS & CURED BUD PORN TO COME!! I will say another couple weeks and they will be ready for a proper report but preliminary results are VERY promising and any fears I had about auto's not being potent enough are quickly melting away along with the feeling in my body..a definite good thing! lol I've made sure to keep all the plants separated so that I can evaluate each plant individually as well as each strain as there are some definite differences in phenos. Please enjoy the pictures, there are plenty as I have a difficult time choosing my favourites

Great results , frosty goodness looks amasing , hope you enter them in bud of the month contest.I noticed you also had some nice exposed root shots, it always good to see how the root are growing and it is something that is often overlooked in journals. Thanks also for you descriptive and info packed reports, very methodical and good to read.Have a good smoke you've earned it.Peace bro Lams

Smokeythabear
Enjoy your fruits of labour and gratz for a fine outcome.Thank you for sharing.damn that frost, amazing pics loved it man that is some sweet porn!!Congratz once again!!I'll be waiting for the report Thanks Tokage and Dust for all your kind words and encouragement! Reports will start to come in soon with dried/cured bud pornHiya smokey this journal has been a pleasure to read and follow. Great results , frosty goodness looks amasing , hope you enter them in bud of the month contest.I noticed you also had some nice exposed root shots, it always good to see how the root are growing and it is something that is often overlooked in journals. Thanks also for you descriptive and info packed reports, very methodical and good to read.Have a good smoke you've earned it.Peace bro LamsThanks Lams..ya we sometimes forget all the hard work we put into the grow..I will take your advice and have a REAL good smoke I'm really glad you enjoyed the journal, it makes it all worth it. Ya I think I will enter a few of those colas in bud of the month, just want to make sure they are all dressed up nicely for pictures (aka cured a little lol). Ya roots are important and to me they can give you a good idea of what kind of conditions the plants were/are living under. For example you could tell by the brownish nature of the roots at the bottom of the pots that I need to drill more holes and maybe add a bit more hydrotron clay pellets to improve drainage. The fact that they had nice root systems tells me they were still getting a fair amount of oxygen and I was letting them dry out and force root growth. So ya..roots are great to examine imo Thanks for the kind words and following the grow hollyyyyyyyyyy cheeeeeeeeba i think i just busted a nut !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that weed looks awsome, and the yeild on some of those plant's damn amazing your getting better with the cam too !!! a great journal man. anyone who doubt's auto's should definatly check this journal out it man just great. i am about to ste u my nute programs i think i might use some of the same products you do because its impressive to say the least. im definately looking into the DNF line again since there stuff is cheap and effective 99$ for the hole line in 1L bottles. i that in combination with a few advanced products is the way to go the hole advanced line just cost's way to much i can't justify sending like 500$ on anything for my set up i just can't grow enough but 200$ i think i could get most of what i need and your grow definatly influanced me towards that. did you ever end u using the overdrive?????Hey man thanks LOL...happy you enjoyed Ya overall I'm really happy with the auto's overall. I was a big skeptical, but that's gone now. I can sum it up in this...potency/taste/effect wise I would never know I was smoking/vaping an autoflower plant. Is there stronger? Ya of course there is because I'm not smoking cup winning photo's..but these auto's damn man they can hold there own, and all my worries are gone out the window with my last Super Critical toke lol. Ya I would say other than the DNF basic line to check out the Carbo Logic (sugars/carbs for flowering) & the Enhance pine oil additive. They have some inexpensive Veg and Flowering booster powder too..the flowering is like 0-50-30..pretty economical too. I bought that $100 box for my first grow..you get a ton of shit with it and it's definitely worth it even if you end up moving away from the base nutrients (still have about 1/2 L left) the rest of the products that come with it are definitely worth it. One thing though..if you get the Enhance pine additive DONT USE ANYWHERE NEAR FULL STRENGTH..lol. The stuff is pretty strong, it's not supposed to hurt your plants, but..you will see if you open the bottle, and the guy at the hydro store said 1/2 strength is plenty.I did use some Overdrive on the auto's at about 1/4 - 1/2 dosage most times I think. I started with it pretty early in flowering at a really low dose then ramped up towards the end. That's another product that I'm pretty sure gives a nice boost at the end. Of course it's difficult to tell since I got right into mad scientist mode and starting messing with additives and can't really compare the growth to just using base nutrients
Smokeythabear
Hello friends, I finally got around to weighing the final 4 plants and weights were as follows:19/01/13Final weigh-inSweet Mango Auto (A): 100 g’s (99.8 to be exact lol)Sweet Mango Auto (: 69 g’sNorthern Lights Auto (A): 87 g’sNorthern Lights Auto (: 52 g’sTotal for the 4 plants = 308 g'sPlus the first 4 plants harvested = 192 g'sTotal = 500 g'sI'm very happy with these results as my goal was 1 lb or 454 grams.Doing the math it works out to this: 3 led's x 28W = 84 W + (1 x 600W HPS) = 684W. 500g/684W = 0.73g/W. Also keep in mind I miscalculated and really underfed a few of them at certain points so there definitely was more potential there, that 100 g mango could easily have been 125+ if I had judged her properly. That being said, here is my first official smoke report of one of the first plants to be harvested the Sweeeeet Mango, plant ©, along with some pictures of the curing bud from her. I wish I need to get better light to take pictures. If anyone has any suggestions for type of light/colour tone etc. for taking good bud pron pictures please let me know. More smoke reports will come as I have time but the Cup grow of course takes priority right now. Oh ya..and there's school in there somewhere too BTW..speaking of school the ease and simplicity of growing the auto's made it possible for me to grow them out and make the Dean's list in school for my first semester, so... ANYONE can grow auto's if this is the case If you want simplicity, grab yourself some auto seeds and some GHSC Powderfeed..won't get more simple than that! SMOKE REPORT: **PLEASE REMEMBER, THESE ARE MY OWN PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS AND MAY NOT PERTAIN TO YOUR OWN INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCE ***Strain: GHSC Sweet Mango Auto Plant A, B, or C?: C – Harvested 20th December, 2012Sativa/Indica ratio: 50/50?Vaporized or smoked?: Vaporized- very smooth, no harshness or bitternessAroma & Flavour: Aroma is definite citrus and mango with light sour milk undertones and the mango gets stronger everydayPotency: Medium-high to high. Effects: “What was I doing again, and where are my house keys??”. I would not recommend this when anything requiring a high level of concentration or organization is concerned, at least not for the first 1-1.5 hrs or so! Bit of a raised heart rate at first, but not racy like a sativa and the initial racy nature of the high mellows into a more heavier indica like feeling. Eyes feel heavy but not tired at the onset. I haven’t finished the volcano bowl and have already put eye drops in due to red eyes, which btw it takes a potent strain to bring out in me after years of daily use! Medicinally it has really done a good job at relaxing normally tight or spasming muscles and I’ve noticed over a week or so of use that it also does a good job with nerve pain. As well, it’s definitely relaxing emotionally and I’m all smiles. While I don’t want to lay down and go to sleep, I also don’t feel like doing much that requires a ton of energy, or too much thinking. I am a little thirsty but no major pasties, and I’m a bit hungry and could definitely eat even though I just finished dinner about an hour ago, but I’m not starving. After a couple hours it’s still wearing off and I’m already snacking again too..so ya..good for appetite stimulation for sure!It finishes nicely with a long-lasting mellow relaxed feeling with little grogginess or feelings of laziness after it wears off a long time later. I’d say great for chilling out and relaxing, watching a movie, listening to some tunes etc. & possibly even to help with sleep. A good afternoon or evening smoke/vape that hits hard but mellows out to a nice long relaxing buzz. Overall it is an 8 out of 10 on my scale, very nice strain & plant overall.

Smokeythabear
Thanks a bunch guys, I enjoy sharing, and knowing you enjoy following, plus all the help and encouragement from everyone makes all the work worth it F'sakes sounds like a damn Miss America speech That and there's nothing like having your own head stash, especially when it's GHSC stash Speaking of which..I have forgotten to post a picture of whole 500 g's (minus what I've already gotten into ) in jars resting and curing in what I call my Tickle Trunk..cause everytime I open it to transfer some ganja to smaller jars it makes me giggle like I'm being tickled lol. So..I've included that picture now..no need for more comment, you guys have given me more praise already than I deserve..but thank you all those are some good result's smokey !!!! that quality is very nice and the yeild's you got are awsome for first time doing autoflowering plant a great grow all an all makes me wanna try growing that sweet mango it looks killer.Dude you gotta grow some Mango..I would say between the possibility of a monster like the 100g plant I got and the flavour/potency/smell/look of the plant she is a definite one to put on your list..oh ya and she finishes so friggin quick b4 you know it it's sweeeeeet mango time. I will say it again..the 100g'r had much more potential even but I misjudged her w/feed and coulda given her much more at one point. and we know with auto's there's really not much time to make up for mistakes. I'm really hoping I get that pheno again with my last 2 seeds I still have for the auto contest Smokey that was a great smoke report and you dried buds look so pretty. It is also great to see you do so well at college and make the Deans list, just goes to show that your medication doesn't stop you achieving great things in your studies.Congratulations on your final weight, you broke your desired weight you were hoping for and the quality look sublime.Keep doing what you do, so I can see some more of your porn jejePeace brotherLamsThanks for the overall appreciation and I will try my best to keep you happy with porn As for medication and school, I'm gonna be honest, if I wasn't able to grow my own strains and have daytime different daytime and nighttime strains...I wouldn't be able to toke/vape like I do, use cannabis for pain the way and in the amount I do, and do well in school. I generally medicate, if you will,..every 2-4 hours all day and don't have an issue because I can grow strains like Moby Dick, Northern Lights Auto, and now Super Lemon Haze. It's that simple really..I mean if I was at the mercy of street weed and most often only finding indica's I would be a zombie at school..or in a ton of pain because I couldn't medicate or back on intolerable pills..you pick lol. I don't get unmotivated at all..if anything I find much motivation and positive energy from cannabis

Smokeythabear
Wow, great grow, glad you gave me the link.Ok I am lazy and may be just missed it, what is a "CO2 producing pads"THANKSThanks man No worries, easy to miss with hundreds of grows. The CO2 pads are a fairly new technology from a local company. They work well in a relatively small area..10 ft x 10 ft or smaller. When you mist them with water the first time it activates them and they will produce up to 1000 or 1200 ppm if I remember correctly..sorry the package isn't nearby. They do this well for about a week, and the more often you mist it, the more it releases but as long as rH is above 35% they will release a measurable amount. You then replace the pad with a new one..leaving the old one to continue to vent off CO2. I've talked to a few people who swear by them including a hydroponics store owner. I have yet to test properly for CO2 levels but I will tell you this much, I know they work because when I use them they screw with my gas hot water heater firing up because it is just outside my grow tent lol. The CO2 being heavier than air builds up around the pilot light area of the heater during "lights off" when the plants aren't using it up and it triggers a sensor, or snuffs out the pilot..not sure exactly which They aren't cheap though at $40 a pack and 5 in a package giving you 5 weeks worth. I see there are also bags out now that contain CO2 producing "stuff" for lack of better words very interesting im dyin to try sweet mango. savage grow well done epic yield Oh man you have to grow the sweet mango! I got 3 distinct different pheno's ALL 3 desirable for various characteristics. I'm really looking forward to seeing what my 2 remaining seeds give me for phenos for the auto contest A nice potent auto with some nice hazey charachteristics as well as body..and the taste and smell is soooo damn cool and unique. One smells like mango/guava..one like a creamy creamsicle kinda orange mango..and the last a more orange citrus/mango with slight sour milk undertones which according to the taste/smell profile is dead on!I think if I can find time I will/should get a few pictures of all the different pheno's from the 3 auto strains now that they have been curing for over 2 months to close out this journal offically..you will see the differences in the mangos then. welcome to the jungle Hey thanks for checking things out!..this grow seems so long ago being busy with the new one now but it taught me a lot about autos and growing period. Peace guys..thanks for checkin out an old thread!
Smokeythabear
Ok so since there was a little bit of revived interest in this grow I thought I would take a little time to break out some different buds from this auto grow that were cut anywhere from 9.5 - 11 weeks ago and have been curing nicely in glass jars. Thought it was better to do it sooner than later..if you compare how full my stash box is today compared to the picture of a full box..you will see why sooner is better than later!! I hope my supply lasts until at least the Trainwreck is ready ..it could be close.I've included at least one bud of each of the 3 plants from each of the 3 strains..except for the Northern Lights because I only grew out 2 plants of that strain. I still have yet to write smoke proper smoke reports for the Super Critical and the Northern Lights..and not because they are not worthy of them...I may still get to that yet. For now, both turned out reaaaallllly nice..I've commented on the potency of the Super C a few times..next grow for the auto cup I am definitely gonna let the super c's ripen longer, but even so they pack a heavy punch and have developed a really really cool sea salt smell and flavor to go with the floral tones...ya sea salt..pretty unique And the little Northern Lights plant has cured into some pretty mind blowing stuff that both elevates the mind and helps my body function with less pain Anyways..enough of my blabber and onto the pics!Peace & have a wonderful green filled weekend!
